Best fish and chips for miles

We frequently use This place for wonderful fish and chips The service is fabulous and everything is always hot, crispy and not at all greasy. There is s royalty scheme, so that every time you buy 10 lots offish and chips, you get s free order. What's not to like ???

Easily my favourite place to get fish and chips. The staff are always friendly and remember your face when you come in so it feels very welcoming. The food is second to none and always tastes lovely.

Great Fish & Chips, or should I say Whale & Chips, the fish was that large ;-) Also gluten free option with batter so good, my wife thought I'd given her the wrong fish.

Really well Covid organised. Fish always gorgeous and fresh and delicious. Only reason did not give5 stars was that our double order of onion rings was missing. We should have checked.

Great chippy! Fish (Cod) tasted decent, which is hard to say for many southern chippies, and the chicken legs they do are great too, not too greasy and not too dry.They also do gluten free batter if you're that way inclined.Wasn't too pricey either.The only drawback is that it's difficult finding a parking spot. But I won't knock a star off for that!

Fish itself was very nice catch of the day sea bass. The batter was greasy and chips over cooked. Slight burnt taste to chips. Disappointing. Price was ok.

Excellent fish and chips. Made fresh while you wait. The way it should be done... Fresh and simple. Crispy batter, fresh fish, hot fries/chips. Line forms fast for dinner take out. Only a few counter top seats to eat in. Many people scarf it down right outside store, while still hot. You can see the vats of fries and fish prepped and ready to be fried.

Beautifully fresh and light crispy batter and golden crunchy chips. Best fish and chips in the area. Serves all the usual chip shop fare which I can only presume is as good a quality as the fish. Can get very busy which is testament to how popular it has become. Highly recommended.

Been twice on two different holidays (a year apart). Both times the staff were friendly and the fish and chips fresh and tasty. A little bit pricy but fish and chips is nowadays.

Great chippy.We were in Cornwall for a week and had to have fish & chips before we left.We found this gem which did not fall into the trap of other chippys and doing kebabs and fried chicken and kept to a relatively simple fish, chip & burger menu.I ordered lemon cod & chips and my partner had chips with curry sauce & mushy peas. The staff were pleasant and some regulars were also served while we waited and there seemed to be a good spirit going on.We took our meal to the flat and the chips were still warm, I hadn’t had lemon cod before and it was delicious and the chips were pale but cooked well and tasty.Overall recommend this chippy and worth a visit to those in the area.

Good, fresh fish and chips done right. Served in paper, eaten with a wooden fork, doused in salt and vinegar.

The fish was fresh in chips but the food was very greasy though. The chicken burger lacked flavour and the patty was also very greasy.We didn't complain though, they were very welcoming folk.

We came here three years ago and we’re still talking about it. The best fish and chips we’ve ever had. Worth lengthy queueing for!

Like a well oiled machine, these ladies know how to deliver great fish and chips and motor through a queue. Good prices and portion sizes and they also take telephone orders!

Batter was soggy and falling off the fish. Chips were also limp and tasteless. I am unable to see why this has had good ratings before. Some of the worst fish and chips I have had.
